AGILITY TRAINING 2014
K C Dog School started giving Agility classes at the beginning of 2012. We now have a very strong group of people, having a wonderful time doing agility with their dogs.
In fact a lot of handlers and dogs are entering agility competitions and doing really well.
The agility classes are going from strength to strength.
Cindy and Billy Knox run these classes, and here is the information for anyone wanting to join:
12:00 - 1:00 Oldies (humans or dogs) or dogs that are not capable of jumping full height due to injury, hip or back problems, basically a fun class.
1:00 - 2:00 Beginners (Beginners never go full height in the first 8 weeks, so this will be for all sizes and breeds.
2:00 - 3:00 Intermediate.
3:00 - 4:00 Advanced competition - large dogs.
4:00 - 5:00 Advanced competition - small dogs.
The whole aim is to make the classes as much fun as possible with love and motivation. Sometimes it is the love the handler shows that gets the dog to do the obstacle that it most fears.
WHAT TO BRING:
Water bowls and water. Although there is a shell filled with water, most dogs play in it, so fresh water is necessary for drinking. Soft treats that are high in value - cheese, chicken viennas, liver bread, bacon bits, liver paste etc.
If your dog is toy driven, then bring the toy. (Some dogs prefer balls to food!)
All dogs need to have some form of obedience in order to attend the agility classes.
Agility Prices: R900 for 8 lessons, which includes the levy.

FOREST FARM CHRISTMAS PARTY
On behalf of all the residents and staff of Forest Farm Centre, please accept our grateful thanks for all the wonderful gifts that you gave to the residents and staff.
A special “thank you” from our family of dogs as well for not being forgotten.
We wish you and all your handlers a blessed Christmas and a great 2014.
The management, staff and residents of Forest Farm.
The above is the letter of thanks that I received from Forest Farm. I can vouch for the joy and excitement from both the residents and the staff when they received their gifts.
I would like to say A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated money and sweets. Once again, I was blown away by the generosity of all the handlers of K C Dog School.
FOREST FARM BOOKSALE
Just another reminder that Forest Farm has a monthly book sale and is always in need of good, second hand books that are not too old. If you have any to donate, you can drop them off at training.
Finally, if you have any problems, queries or need dog related advice, please contact me.
