FIND US - Puppy Kindergarten
The best route with easy access and 2 bumps is: Along William Nicol - turn into Cremartie robots (going towards Tara Hospital) follow road whick becomes Argyle. Over 2 humps - follow around corner past fountain at Sandhurst Estate. Left into Gordon trough boom, right into Lillian. Left into 1st Street. All other routes have masses of humps!
This is for puppies that have had their second inoculation and up to 4 months of age.
You don't need to wait for the start of a course, you can start any Saturday. Each Saturday are work on skills and they build up their confidence over these 4 lessons. The sooner you can get your puppy into class, the better. They will socialise with the other puppies, go around an obstacle course, be handled on a table like at a vet, listen to noises and do a little bit of stand, sit and down. There is also a question and answer time.
TIME: Saturday 12:30 - about 13:30
(Sunday class is at 10:30!)
Address: 92 1st Street Lower Sandhurst
(Map attached to get through the enclosures)
THERE ARE ENCLOSURES IN THIS AREA. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GPS WILL TRY TO BRING YOU IN THROUGH SANDTON DRIVE AND MARIE AVE AND THERE IS A GATE. YOU WILL NEED TO PRINT OUT THE MAP AND FOLLOW THAT SO YOU DON'T GET LOST. The quickest route to my house would be down William Nicol, turn into Cromartie Ave and continue straight, the road now become Argyle Ave. Go over the two humps and follow the road. Just past Sandhurst Estate (with a big fountain in front) turn left into Gordon Ave, then follow the map from there.
Only puppies may attend these classes - NO OTHER DOGS over 4 months.
INTERNET PAYMENTS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IF THEY ARE PAID PRIOR TO THE CLASS AND PROOF OF PAYMENT IS BROUGHT ON THE DAY. OTHERWISE CASH ON THE DAY.
Once a puppy is 4 months or over they then move on to the 6 week basic home obedience course. These are held at Forest Farm for Cerebral Palsy Adults on William Nicol, right next to the Pick 'n Pay, corner of Republic Road.
Puppy Kindergarten Rules:
All dogs coming in to this garden MUST have some form of tick and flea protection.
On the dog's first lesson, please bring the puppy's vet certificate, to show that at least one innoculation has been given. You can send a scanned copy via email before the 1st lesson.
A "Poop Scoop" is available at each lesson. If your puppy has to go, then please use the scoop to clean up.
The whole family is welcome to attend every lesson. HOWEVER, children may not play on the equipment as it is made especially for dogs to use.
